Big Beads

Big beads - Some times it's just fun to work big.  I've quite a few hollow mandrels from Jeri that I haven't used since my class with Jari.  LOL - yup, they're both spelled right.  Jeri Warhaftig makes the mandrels (and great beads) and Jari Sheese makes great beads with Jeri's mandrels.

These beads are blown - they use reactive colors like turquoise, ivory, and others.  Way too much fun to play with.  Shards, twisties, and layers of reactive color.

And just how big are those hollow beads?

We're talking about 1.25 to 1.5 inches round.

Will I be doing more of these?  Of course.  They're nice and light and very strong and I've always liked blowing the beads in nice shaped rounds.  These are about to be tumble etched.  It gives them this nice satin finish.

Sharon - they are fabulous!!
We all know that size matters - but it's even more impressive when it's a gorgeous big glass bead!
