Raked, Layered, and Masked

I have been drawing out all of these beads - once in a while when I limit my palette to just a few colors then I can concentrate on design. In this case the designs and patterns have just been filling my head...and keep coming. this time I added a little more black and some turquoise enamels sifted on here and there. What fun! And, I'm not done yet...more are in the kiln.

Wow, Sharon! Nicely done! For a second there I thought you were sharing some Brad Pearson beads.

These colors are gorgeous together in these designs, Sharon! I vaguely remember something in this post about limiting colors so you can concentrate on your design, but I truly can't separate color and design when I look at this pic...without those colors, would these designs be as crisp and precise looking? without these designs, would those colors click so well together? Beautiful work!

I'm blushing....Brad is so talented. Angelina - you are right, I think the colors make the bead kind of pop. They remind me of quilting where youi have to look for three values of a color and then black and white. An important point to think about no matter what color you are working with.
